My Story

This is your journey, but you're not alone.

Hi, I'm Anna. I'm a therapist who believes healing is about stepping out of survival mode and reclaiming your life. Whether you are battling an eating disorder, carrying heavy trauma, or navigating constant anxiety, I'm not here to accommodate the patterns keeping you stuck. I'm here to walk alongside you through the messy, painful, and courageous parts of recovery, challenge the rules that are holding you back, and help you build a life that feels like yours.

I earned my graduate degree from Marywood University in 2015, and my work focuses on treating eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, and body image concerns. I also work with veterans, active-duty service members, and military families. As part of a military family myself, I understand the unique challenges, sacrifices, and strengths that come with military life — and that some battles don't end when the uniform comes off.

Having recovered from an eating disorder myself, I know firsthand how terrifying it can be to let go of old survival tools, and how overwhelming the process can feel. But I also know healing is possible. My lived experience shapes how I show up: honest, grounded, compassionate, and willing to have the hard conversations. I won't let diet culture, past trauma, or fear lead the way.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, struggling with your relationship with food, or simply tired of surviving, you don't have to do it alone. I'll meet you with deep empathy, honesty, and support while helping you challenge what's keeping you stuck. Together, we'll work toward a life that's guided by your values rather than by fear, shame, or the struggles of your past.

What I Believe

The values underneath the work

Honesty with compassion

I'll hold space for you with warmth — and I'll also name what I see, including the patterns keeping you stuck. You deserve a therapist who tells you the truth kindly.

Your pace, your path

Recovery isn't a straight line, and there's no single formula for healing. We'll work at a pace that supports lasting change while still challenging the patterns that keep you stuck. No rushing. No shortcuts. No cookie-cutter approach.

Freedom over food rules

I don't believe healing comes from creating a "better" set of rules. Recovery means challenging the fear and rigidity that keep you stuck and making room for flexibility, nourishment, and a life beyond your eating disorder.

What It's Like to Work With Me

Real conversation, not clinical performance.

Sessions with me feel less like an evaluation and more like sitting down with someone who deeply gets it — because I do. Whether you're dealing with an eating disorder hijacking your life, anxiety that won't turn off, the heavy weight of trauma, or the unique culture and pressure of military life, you don't have to waste time explaining the basics. I already understand the terrain.

You are a person, not a diagnosis or a set of symptoms.

Expect radical authenticity and zero judgment. Expect me to hold steady when anxiety, trauma response, or an eating disorder tries to take the wheel — I won't tiptoe around the hard stuff or negotiate with old survival mechanisms. And expect to laugh more than you'd think, because real healing doesn't have to be humorless.
